Top Shot - Home Version

Kevin and I bought ourselves some nerf guns, and after a fun sunday afternoon of family-friendly nerf war.  The kids had set up a shooting range full of different things to hit.  They got the pillows from the couch and went to work.  They actually did pretty good.  Better then I did anyway!

The shooting range.   It was fun to watch them play Top Shot.

Allison's 7th Birthday

Allison is my little girly girl.  She already loves clothes, jewelry, doing her hair and just looking "fashiony" (as she likes to call it).  It has been fun to watch her grow.  I thought at first that we were going to have a tom-boy, but right now, in this stage of her life, it's all girl.  She makes me smile with all she comes up with.  She's already got 5 boy friends, she's all about writing notes to her friends.  It's pretty cute!  She also loves to draw, always has and probably always will.  If you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up it's an "artist for books".   We sure love having Allison as part of our family, I just can't believe she is 7 already.

Allison's First Day of School

My little girl is growing up so fast! And she loves every moment of it! She is in first grade this yeas and is so excited that she goes all day just like all the other big kids. I don't like that she is gone all day, but not much that I can do about that!

Party at Grandma's

Presents!!!!!

More presents!!!!!

Blowing out candles on the cake.

The cake.

Madalynn's 2nd Birthday

Miss Madalynn opening her presents.  Dad eventually had to help her out.  She was doing it just fine by herself, just a bit on the slow side.  I guess, perhaps, she was just enjoying the moment of it all!!!

We have started a new tradition.  Instead of cake on their actual birthday, we do rootbeer floats.  We save the birthday cake for the big party we do with all the cousins at grandma's house.

Here she is trying her very hardest to blow the candles out.  She kept getting closer and closer till.....

she got too close and fried her bangs.  It was pretty funny.  It didn't hurt her, it only got her hair, which is why we could laugh!

Mmmmmmm, yummy rootbeer float!!

?????????

I so don't understand this girl. We came home from church, she asked if she could have some crackers. I got the box out for her, witch was completely full, and what does she do? She eats the box instead of the crackers. I don't get it!!!??!!!!
